New blog on Kent Life
Building on the popularity of Kent Life editor Sarah Sturt’s online blog, assistant editor Michael Palmer has started his own blog – with a difference.
Michael, also known as Monkey, will be writing all about his State-side adventures as he goes on a two-week road trip across America.
He is currently living it up in Hollywood on the beaches of Santa Monica, but will soon be hopping into a convertible Chrysler Sebring and heading up Route 1, across to Nevada and down into Arizona, taking in Morro Bay, Santa Cruz, San Francisco, Yosemite National Park, Vegas, The Grand Canyon, Phoenix, San Diego and Long Beach.
Sarah said: “Making space in his rucksack for a laptop and hooking up to the Internet whenever he can will mean that he can keep in touch and make us all exceedingly jealous as he takes in the sights of Los Angeles, Las Vegas and beyond.
“I've dug out my old Penguin copy of Jack Kerouac's On the Road for him in the hope that this American classic will both inspire and entertain our young writer on his own adventure.”
